On Hiatus

We here (meaning me) have decided to put this blog on hiatus for a time (probably till the end of this month) to recharge my creative batteries. I will be posting new Open Thread Thursday’s, as usual, so there will be some content, though not a lot of it.

I will be checking for comments, so please feel free to continue commenting.

I had a good run on the Post A Day Challenge. I went from December 31st, 2010 to July 5th, 2011. That’s a record for me folks. Some of the posts were good. Most were shit.

I want to thank my regular readers, especially those people who subscribed to my blog. That’s a huge ego boost and I hope you’ll forgive this interruption. I’d rather stop posting than continue to post sub-standard crap.

As much as I demean myself and my writing abilities, I am trying to write content that someone would be interested in reading. I owe you subscribers more than the crap I’ve given you. Please forgive me for those bad posts.

I’ll see you all on 1 August, unless I get a rash of ideas and post something before then.

Take care, all.

With Kindest Regards,
WonderGoon

That’s why I don’t think committing oneself to something like the Post A Day thing is really a worthy goal. I’d rather see an occasional good post rather than frequent posts where you believe you have nothing to say (which I wholly disagree with). Plug in and recharge them bat’ries (as we say in New Orleans).

I would’ve liked to do a post a day, but, there are days when I can’t even pull myself out of bed, much less write a decent post about anything. Now, once a week? Yeah. I could do that, and probably will, once I get to a point where I want to write again.

      Thanks for the support.
