Over the next few days and weeks, I am going to be posting a series about the various candidates for president. I’m going to start with the GOP candidates since there are a lot of them. (The field is getting smaller as Mitch Daniels has now dropped out of the race).
As I always do, I will try to give a fair shake to each of them, as I would with any contender, regardless of party. I will also deal in the facts. I ask you to do the same when responding to these posts. It’s fine if you want to use a counter-argument or if I’ve missed something, but please post your sources to support your statements.
Remember, also, first time posters comments are held for moderation, as are comments with links. If your comment doesn’t appear right away, then it got held for moderation and it will be posted as soon as I review it. (These are a safety feature to stop the spread of spammers and rogue links, both of which I detest). As with the entire blog, I reserve the right to deny/delete comments which I find offensive or that are off-topic. If you want to respond and make a long-winded point, start-up a blog here at WordPress, (they’re free), and post a link to the rebuttal.
That said, I will be starting the series off with the confirmed candidates and moving to the unconfirmed as they arise. As I said, the field is quite wide and there is a lot to cover.
Up first will be Newt Gingrich, so look for my review of his platform and my thoughts about his chances on Tuesday.
