A New Tradition: Open Thread Thursday’s

Since it’s a new year, 2011 for those keeping score, we here at The House of Goonery are going to start a new tradition. Every Thursday, we are going to host an Open Thread.

This open thread will be whatever you, the readership, want it to be. It can be an in-depth discussion about Foosball, for example, or the merits of fungi. Who knows?

The only thing I ask, the only rule I will enforce, is be respectful of the other posters here. Blogs are meant to foster insightful communication and rational discourse, not a cussing or insult contest. How are you going to act?

So, here’s to Open Thread Thursday’s here at The House of Goonery. Stop by for a chat, won’t you?

Interesting postaweek2011 tactic, how did you come up with this idea? Brilliant.

    • WonderGoon says:

Hi Tim. Thanks for stopping by.

I originally tried to do an Open Thread Thursday idea back in 2009, right near the end of the year. It didn’t go over so well, so I dropped the idea. Hopefully, this one will generate a bit more interest and use.

So, what do you want to talk about? 🙂

what about to talk about childhood memories,
    smells – instead of soccer?

Hi Frizz. Thanks for stopping in again.

Feel free to talk about whatever you wish. You mentioned childhood memories. Is there any particular memory you’d care to share?

      Kindest Regards,

yes, when I go to the baker,
the smells are a bridge for me
