Feeling down? Ever feel like everyone wants you to do what they want? Ever feel like people are trying to hold you back?
If you said ‘yes’ to any of those questions, remember this simple philosophy:
“The only people who matter in the world are those who don’t hold you back. Always be true to yourself. Never compromise who you are and never be held back by those too unwilling to accept it as the truth.”
You are who you are. You are this way for a reason, and that should be good enough for everyone.
This is particularly true if you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered. What many Christians, and others who don’t like GLBT folk fail to realize, is that for their philosophy to hold true that God created everything, they have to acknowledge that God created you to be the way you are. If God is all-powerful and all-knowing, then God knew what He was doing by making you GLBT, right?
When they try to tell you that you are going to hell for being GLBT, tell them God made me this way and ask them why they are trying to undo what God has made? If they are true Christians, they will understand, apologize, and back off.
Remember, this is their failure, not yours. You are who you are for a reason. Never let anyone tell you different.
