Hard to believe its been eight years. Eight years since That Day. No need to tell you which day I’m talking about, right? You know, That Day.
The Day Everything Changed.
The day we were given a black eye by evil. The day when over 3,000 people lost their lives. The day we woke up to a graver threat.
The day we started living in fear.
Fear, not only of the “Enemy,” but of ourselves. When every shadow held a threat (and many still do). When the word “Security” held more sway than “Freedom” (which is our security).
It was the day we marked the beginning of two wars. The War on Terror and the War on the Constitution. Both still rage today, but in quiet, insidious forms.
Eight Years and nothings changed.
