Isn’t it wonderful how the Right Wing likes to change the definition of words like “terrorist” to suit their own agenda? Lovely.

Are you fucking KIDDING ME?????
I feel LESS SAFE in this country when any jackass walking down the street can carry a gun (because the NRA gods say he should be able to) and if he’s in a pissy mood he can shoot anyone walking by.
The Democrats are fighting terrorists over seas while the Right Wing FUCKTARDS are breeding them here in our own backyard. Where do you think you’ll feel safer????
And don’t give me that bullshit mantra of “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” The gun is the tool by which murder is accomplished. Crack open the bibles you assholes thump on everyone else and read the Ten Commandments. One of ’em is THOU SHALT NOT KILL. If you don’t take away the tools then killing will happen indescriminately. If a child is hitting a sibling or friend or family pet with a toy, you don’t say, “Oh, well kids are kids” you TAKE AWAY THE FUCKING TOY.
Sorry. I’m done. *slinks off to the corner*

Skatha,
I agree with nearly everything you said, except: “The gun is the tool by which murder is accomplished.”
While I agree in principal with the statement, I would point out that a firearm cannot load itself. Nor can it discharge itself without outside influence (i.e. someone pulling the trigger).
I don’t feel we need stringent gun control laws in this country, but we do need gun education. I think it is perfectly reasonable for a potential firearm consumer to take a safety class and become certified before allowing them to take possession of their firearm. This will help reduce accidental deaths and may help reduce murders as well.
In your example of the child hitting the sibling, friend, or family pet with a toy, I agree you take away the toy, but you also educate and explain to the child why the toy is being taken away and why you don’t strike your sibling, friend, or family pet. In other words, educate the child to prevent the incident of repeating in the future.
And there is never a need for you to ‘slink away’ on this blog. You are always welcome. Thanks for commenting.
