Two Disturbing John McCain Videos

John McCain: “. . if I were a dictator, which I’ve always aspired to be. . .”

Watch the video in the upper right hand corner. I’m not making this up, folks.

John McCain wants Bush to spend $1 TRILLION WITHOUT Congressional Approval.

McCain Urges Bush to Spend $1 Trillion on Bailout–Without Congressional Approval

That’s not a democracy, folks. That’s a DICTATORSHIP. Is this really the path you want to take?

I am completely depressed about this whole thing. This country is not FOR the People or even BY the people. This country is FOR Corporations, by Corporations. Politicians don’t give a rat’s ass about any of us. I was going to write to the politicians thanking them for killing my dreams, but they’d only return a letter full of condescension. All politicians make me sick. I am ashamed to be a citizen of this country.

We can still change this country, Kasey. Please don’t give into this feeling. It’s what they want. That is why it is so important to use your voice and vote (if not for McCain or Obama, then for one of the other three candidates.)

Find one you can live with and vote for him or her. But never give up your dreams. Never.

Good luck, and may you have prosperous blessings,

  3. Kasey says:

After what I witnessed this weekend, I’m yet further convinced that this country will never change.

I live near New Orleans, Louisiana. We had a few elections this weekend, presumably to be run-off on 4 November. One of the races was for the second congressional district. There were seven individuals running for this election. One of them is the man who already holds the seat: Representative William Jefferson.

If the name doesn’t ring a bell, this gentleman is awaiting trial for 16 federal charges of political corruption. Many of his family members have been indicted on various similar charges. Several thousand dollars was found IN HIS FREEZER, yet he claims he wasn’t doing anything wrong. Yeah. Right.

Yet despite this, Mr Jefferson is in the run-off to be decided in November. Political corruption is embraced here in Louisiana, why should I expect that it’s different anywhere else?
