See How They Lie;_ylt=Asa2dKT4s1J2mnJXJG3XhXEDW7oF

The above link is to a story, posted on Yahoo!, written by JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press Writer about, surprise,  surprise Gomer Pyle, the lies the Republicans are spreading to further mislead the American people. Further lies, you say? You remember all those weapons of mass destruction Saddam supposedly had, right?

While I respect John McCain and thank him for his service to this country in a horrible war (that’d be Viet Nam, for those who don’t remember), I just don’t think he needs to be President. I don’t think being a POW for 5-1/2 years is a qualifying trait for the Presidency.

I’m not thrilled about some of Barack Obama’s stances on the issues, particularly gun control or gay marriage. (I’m pro 2nd Amendment and pro-Gay marriage). But I do think he’s a better candidate than McCain, personally.

I’ll vote my conscience, you vote yours, okay?

But, back to the topic at hand. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

FORMER ARKANSAS GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE: Palin “got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska than Joe Biden got running for president of the United States.”

THE FACTS: A whopper. Palin got 616 votes in the 1996 mayor’s election, and got 909 in her 1999 re-election race, for a total of 1,525. Biden dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, but he still got 76,165 votes in 23 states and the District of Columbia where he was on the ballot during the 2008 presidential primaries.

How do they expect the American people to swallow such blatant, bald lies? Surely they don’t think the American people are that stupid, do they? I hope the American people wake up and see the danger in front of them. I hope they wake up in time.

Since John Bush, . . . er, I mean, John McCain, (Sorry. Get them confused, donchaknow?), can’t seem to tell the truth, these days (could he ever, really?), this armchair pundit can’t help but think that if he’s lying now, what sort of whoppers is he going to tell while in office?

I hope we never find out.
